These are metal-value reference calculations. IBJA states that its benchmark rates are without 3% GST and making charges. A jewellery invoice may also include stones, design/workmanship and other product-specific costs.

How the weight calculation works

Each value is the current per-gram reference multiplied by the selected weight. For example, a 2 gram reference equals 2 × the per-gram rate for the chosen purity. One tola is shown using approximately 11.6638 grams for this calculator page.

Why a coin or jewellery item can cost more

A retail coin/bar can include fabrication, packaging, brand or dealer premium. Jewellery can include making charges and non-gold components. The table is therefore useful for comparing the metal component, not for predicting an exact retail invoice.

FAQ

Are the weight values live?

On the production site the page uses the same /api/gold feed as the main price cards. If live data is unavailable, the site keeps the last-known IBJA fallback and labels it as a reference rate.

Does the table include GST and making charges?

No. IBJA states that its benchmark rates are shown without 3% GST and making charges. Jewellery invoices can therefore be higher.

How is a 2 gram or 50 gram value calculated?

The page multiplies the current per-gram reference for the selected purity by the requested weight. It is a metal-value reference, not a shop quote.
